Cryptocurrency exchange Bitpanda is looking to bolster its visibility across Italy in a new sponsorship agreement with Italian football giants AC Milan.
The partnership will focus on a shared commitment in digitising both parties’ products and delivering exclusive fan content and experiences, including enabling fans to obtain VIP access to AC Milan match day hospitality.
Furthemore, Bitpanda will gain branding coverage across the San Siro stadium in a bid to inform and educate football fans on cryptocurrency and bolster its standing as one of Europe’s leading crypto platforms.
Maikel Oettle, Chief Commercial Officer of AC Milan, stated: “We are delighted to welcome Bitpanda to the Rossoneri family as a Premium Partner.
“By their side, we are confident that the club will find a valuable ally in continuing its journey of innovation and digitalisation, while also providing special experiences to the many Rossoneri fans worldwide.”
The AC Milan partnership is not the only major European football club Bitpanda has partnered with to enhance its brand across the continent.
Last January, the crypto platform inked a sponsorship agreement with Bundesliga titans Bayern Munich in a similar deal.
After many football-cryptocurrency deals began to fall through as a result of the market crash of 2022, Bitpanda is looking to regain opportunities within the sponsorship space as the market has for the most part recovered.
Eric Demuth, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitpanda, added: “There are so few brands that survive the test of time and maintain the love and trust that AC Milan’s 500 million fans have in their club.
“They embody the ideas of long-term commitment, of building a legacy and not looking for short-term gain. These ideals are absolutely core to what Bitpanda stands for.
“As we look to secure Bitpanda’s position at the top of the table in Italy, there was only one partner we could have chosen. Who else but the seven times European Champions League winners? Who else but the Rossoneri?”
