Ecommpay has added a new feature that will allow merchants to collect recurring PayPal payments from customers alongside subscription card payments and existing direct debits.
The new feature aims to serve merchants with subscription-based business models, such as meal kit delivery services, pay TV, beauty boxes, etc., following a response to growing demand surrounding recurring payments.
Arthur Ribakovs, Head of Financial Partnerships at Ecommpay, said: “Our priority is always to make online payments as smooth as possible to allow our clients to grow their businesses, so we’re excited to be offering these capabilities for one of the most popular digital wallets.
“This is the next step in strengthening our strategic relationship with PayPal and allowing us to assist more merchants whose business model is based on subscriptions.”
Integrating PayPal’s latest payment offering enables Ecommpay to serve its customers wanting recurring payment solutions and bolsters its long-term collaboration with the international payments firm.
Keen to expand the company’s already extensive list of payment methods as well as take advantage of all the capabilities offered by PayPal, the additional feature has already been implemented for Ecommpay’s existing customers.
Merchants can effortlessly handle all subscriptions from their PayPal dashboard with full control and visibility over billing cycles, amounts, and customer information, and the ability to make changes, track payment history, and handle cancellations seamlessly.
Vincent Belloc, SVP of PayPal UK, added: “We’re delighted to provide added value and opportunities to Ecommpay’s clients. Small businesses face a myriad of challenges from finding new customers and managing cash flow to driving sales.
“Putting the customer preference at the heart of the payment and providing shoppers more choice in how they can pay can help turn prospects into customers and grow sales.”
